How to participate:

1. Discover a local organization: Identify a local charity, volunteer group, or community initiative that you believe is doing important work but might not receive widespread recognition.
2. Learn Their Story: Connect with the organization (through their website, social media, or a respectful informational interview if possible) to understand their mission, their impact on the community, and their specific needs (e.g., volunteers, specific donations, financial support).
3. Become a Storyteller: Create compelling content to shine a light on your chosen organization. This could be:
   • A short video (1-2 minutes) explaining the organization's work.
   • A series of engaging social media posts.
   • A blog entry or newsletter feature.
   • The content should clearly articulate what the organization does, why its work is vital, and specific ways people can help (donate money, volunteer time, contribute goods).
4. Launch Your Spotlight: Share your created content widely across social media channels, community groups, email lists, or local online forums. Encourage your network to learn more about the featured organization and consider offering support.
